So why the name “Neurotic Notions”? The answer is quite simple. My head is full of neurotic notions at all times and I have a crazy amount of notions lying around thanks to my love of all things crafty. I sew, quilt, embroider, knit, spin. And I love to buy notions.
I’m not totally crazy. But what do you expect from a 29 year old gal who married when she was 19 to a sailor in the U.S. Navy? I’ve spent the last ten years raising two kids, a husband, and 4 cats. In that time I’ve been living with manic depression, general anxiety disorder, I.B.S., and ovarian cysts which prompted the removal of my left ovary and fallopian tube . *My medical records need their own file cabinet, they’re that thick* I haven’t been able to work thanks to all of medical issues. So I sit at home and craft. My mind wanders. A lot.
So that’s me in a nut shell. You’re still here? After all that drama, I thought I would have scared you away…
